I am an esl teacher in South Korea. I teach High School and Middle School students. My High School students English level and enthusiasm is pretty low, but this activity got them really excited, so I am pretty happy with how it went. I have been here for about a year. I am glad you enjoyed the video.

Lindsey - It is so much about motivation!

Lovely video and a perfect example of "personalization". I keep pounding the pulpit about this - so bear with me in my excitement about your video....!!!

Have you seen Project Peace? I started it about 8 mo. ago and you make a video using a "peace pack" and taking pictures of your students. You'd do a great job on one, I'm sure...

I looked at your Project Peace website. Wow. What a great idea. I have some "winter classes/camps" coming up, so I am definitely going to do this. Thanks for sharing.

You've got some real talent in that group, Lindsey! And they look so bright and shiny in the group photos- like they must have the best teacher on earth! :D

And you put the video together with such obvious care... I noticed ; )

I hope the kids get to display their video somewhere, somehow, at some back-to-school night, school website or ?

any downloadable videos on the site?!!!
Comment by Ellen Pham on November 30, 2009 at 8:58am
Hi Sara,

One easy way to download many videos you see online is to use Realplayer (you can find the download by googling it). Download the program, and then a "Download This Video" link will appear on the top right of most videos you watch. It works with ning and many other videos, though on some sites you can only load the "player shell" and not the video.

Also, check out our Audio Visual Page - tons of videos to download, just click on the category you are interested in browsing, then click on the down arrow that appears to the right of the title to download.

Check the other drop down links under the WATCH tab on the site's main nav bar (where HOME ME etc are located, under the EFL CLASSROOM 2.0 banner)

So much to choose from!

Also check out our Software for Education page for more useful programs.

Further to what Ellen wrote, lots of karaoke on the Karaoke page (which is downloadable). Also, videos in our Mediafire account and Esnips (click Resources above). Cheers and hope you find what you are looking for...

Also, many times people put the video for download below the video in this video channel/category.
