I used this video to extend students' vocabulary in expressing emotions.
Each group chose one emoticon and when that emoticon appeared they would act out that emotion and shout that emotion's name.emotions short.ppt

Emoticons are cool and really get students engaged in the lesson! You reminded me that I have to upload to our resources several packs of emoticons I have that teachers might find useful for games/presentations etc...

Also, here is a nice ppt of all the major emoticons.....

that guys voice freaks me out - I'm not army material!

It works! You'll need something like winzip or suffit to unzip them..... Read here and find the links. Usually you get a 30 day free install.
