Simple Past Exercise

This lesson was shared by Claudio over at Movie Segments for Grammar Goals.

Put up on the board a lot of the actions she does in the house. Also some she doesn't do. Then students check what she did and she didn't. Writing sentences in the affirmative and negative.

Here's a nice Wordle to show students. They choose the verbs from it that she "did". Then, put them into the simple past form. 


 1. Vacuum the house
2. Drink whiskey
3. Water the plants
4. Sweep the flo0r
5. Put a mask on someone's face
6.  Break some eggs on someone's hair.
7.  Do the laundry
8.  Sleep
9.   Kick the dog
10.  Read a book
11.  Dance
12.  Talk on the phone
13.  Kiss the children
