Umbrella--Nowon Middle School After School Class Project

This was one of our after school Englih class projects. The students choose the song (begged for it, actually). I changed it a little. We studied, did the illustrations, etc. POINTER: Learned this the hard way--NUMBER your pages on the back so that you can get them back in order quickly. I know, it seems like a no-brainer, but I forgot to do on this one. I used Windows Movie Maker

Thanks. These are so much fun to teach. It's fun to see what the students create.

Great stuff! I'll share the karaoke I made of this - might be useful for teaching the song and you can slow it down with the karafun player. Inspiring as always Donna!

Karaoke file download.

Yes, thanks for adding it. I used the karaoke that you made to teach the words. Although, since the students chose the song, they knew many of the words already. However, they didn't know the meaning. I explained obvious meanings, but didn't really touch on any deeper meanings.

P.S. Our whole summer camp (the Conversation part, anyway) will be English through Song. We had to create a waiting list!!!! We'll be doing Puff the Magic Dragon, Love It When You Call, and Shouts of Reds 2.

David, I want to upload some songs that I bought from Karafun, but I don't see where I can do that.

I left you a message about this, a few days ago here. Hopefully soon, I'll get the time to update onto our karaoke page, many new karaokes that are in our Karaoke Classroom group. also think about redesigning it....

This is a great idea Donna! I will try something like this next semester with my English Gifted Class!
