Nice activities, David - Thanks!

I did a quiz on our blog on this a while back, and so I've added link to your lesson plan from the page on our site.

Happy New Year!  I did a search but couldn't find your lesson. If you get a moment, could you leave a link?  I'm sure it will have some helpful stuff.... I love this song for the topic of protesting, complaining......

Happy New Year to you too, David!

Love the song too, & think it makes a really great starter for lessons on protesting and complaining, as you say

My quiz is a pretty straightforward listening comprehension, but it may be useful as a warm-up or a filler, so here's the link to the page on my blog: http://esolcourses.blogspot.com/2010/11/pre-intermediate-english-un...

I did it to go with a lesson I sometimes do on the topic of travel and holiday complaints, to practise using formal language for letter writing & putting events in sequence, etc

If I get a chance, I'll try and dig out my lesson notes and the worksheets & post them

I may steal, er, borrow this idea.  As a side note, this makes me very nervous about the new (and now favorite) guitar I just bought.  I'll be flying home in a cuple months.
