Using Skype in your class

A video I stumbled across, of a teacher Skyping with his family and his class. An innovative idea he tried at Hyeonseo Middle Winter English Camp.

I admire the teacher's effort. It is this that counts, that personal connection and I'm sure the students remember this... Would you try this?

Very sweet,,, excellent for building rapport. His students already seem comfortable and happy, but in a class that is still shy, I think this could be a breakthrough activity. Or at least a step towards that "willingness to try".

He has a great co-teacher! He also has a nice family : )

What a great idea the Skyping activity was. Ken can share his family, home, neighborhoud and culture in his own interactive 'reality tv' lesson - I love it.
