A great question that you might ask your students. Also, why do people enjoy gossiping? Then watch the video and see if any answers match.
You might also enjoy doing the Gossip writing activity in our Lessons In A Can.

Students can practice speaking the language of this video on EnglishCentral. Assign it on your class page - you get free when you sign up as a teacher.
Great little video to introduce the topic and get students talking about it. The writing activity is also good, a great way to follow up.
Where Can I get this vídeo? The whole video
Did you click "Download Videos" at the top of the page under the title? From there, you go to Adv. videos and you'll find it under the same title.
I wish I had the manpower to link all the videos directly. We only get about 2-3 paying members a month, pays for part of our fees. So not possible. Members will have to look in the files for the matching video.
But here is the direct download linkfor this one.
Thanks I found this nice webpage with cool instructions to teach through the song you suggested.
I've also created a nice worksheet to go with the video.
First students listen to the first seven people who explain why people gossip and then write a summary of that explanation. Then they answer some questions about the video.
As a means to present some possible trouble some words I added a wordle with some words from the video. Those I simply go throught before watching.
Hope you like it.
Gr8. Thanks for sharing. Quite the long, detailed efl lesson!
Reminded me of this lesson recipe on Secrets which is quite similar...
