You are my Sunshine

A classic song for a singalong. Students learn this song in a heartbeat - don't know why but they just do.

It sounds like he's singing it with Bob Dylan! It is Bob Dylan : )

When I was a kid, my father helped me raise four kittens from birth. Every night, assembly line fashion, I would give each their last feeding and wiping and hand the kitten to him. He would hold them in his wide, warm hands and sing them to sleep with this song.

He also came home from work every lunch time to give them their noon feeding : )

I told my English for Friendship group that if they only learned one song, this should be it. If they ever visited the US, Americans would be charmed by them knowing it. I'm pretty sure this is the most widely known song in the US- every child, from all backgrounds, learns it.

The song is beautiful. And I love the first picture. Along with roses and daisies sunflower is my favourite flower:-)
